Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! It is wonderful to be part of such a vibrant Catholic School community and I look forward to fostering a safe, welcoming, and inclusive culture for All.   We hope that each of our families had a safe and enjoyable summer and are excited to journey together as a Catholic school community once again. We are also excited to welcome new staff members, new families, and students to our wonderful and welcoming community. Our focus together with the Catholic School Council, St. Ann Parish and our St. Joachim school community, is to continue to build a strong Catholic community in which we build partnership and collaboration with parents, our parish and our staff to ensure that students meet their full potential. Together we can strive to ensure that everyone feels welcomed and included and that we treat each other in a kind and respectful manner.

As we come together again, I ask that you continue to have open communication with the staff in a respectful and kind manner and build a partnership to ensure that your child(ren) meet their needs and strive to succeed to be the best that they can be. It is paramount that you communicate to the classroom teacher, any questions you may have about your child’s academic needs. We would like to extend a warm welcome to our new JK students who will be entering school for the first time. We are excited to celebrate the growth and successes that these students will achieve. We look forward to our continued work with Father Peter and the administrative assistants at St. Ann Parish who continue to instill Catholic values and to nurture our faith as we celebrate and foster an inclusive, safe and welcoming environment in our school.

All staff members are committed to modelling and teaching our Catholic faith and in developing the whole child. We are dedicated to providing our students with a learning environment that is nurturing, challenging and an extension of the Catholic values that parents instill at home. At St. Joachim we will continue to strive to bring out the best in all our students through living our school motto: Heart to hand...through Christ...we belong.

Finally, I look forward to meeting all of you over time and most importantly your children.  Thank you for sending them to us and trusting that we will strive to know, respect, celebrate, believe in, and value each student as individuals and for who they are.

Wishing you a successful school year full of successes, learning, and growth!

Yours in Catholic Education

Mr. M. Campbell
