Principal's Welcome Message
A special welcome to all students and parents/guardians to a new school year.
It is a privilege and an honour to serve as the principal at St. Joachim Catholic Elementary School. The school, in partnership with home, parish and community is dedicated to providing a vibrant, Christ-centred learning environment fostering the pursuit of our faith and academic excellence. Together, we enjoy a shared purpose of helping the children in our care to be the best they can be - spiritually, intellectually, emotionally and socially. We will continue to co-operatively foster a safe and faith-filled learning and living environment, in which children are always first. Together, we can inspire our students to develop the self-discipline and commitment to reach their full potential as citizens and lifelong learners.
We are proud of our accomplishments in our Catholic School Community, which include both academic and extra-curricular. All staff members are committed to modelling and teaching our Catholic faith and in developing the whole child. We are dedicated to providing our students with a learning environment that is nurturing, challenging and an extension of the Catholic values that parents instill at home. At St. Joachim we will continue to strive to bring out the best in all our students through living our school motto: Heart to hand...through Christ...we belong.
We are looking forward to continuing our positive relationship with our Parish Community of St. Ann's Parish and our Pastor Reverend Father Lobsinger. We will work closely with this team to plan Masses, sacramental programs and classroom visits. St. Ann’s Parish strives to gather people together in faith, for prayer, worship and service in building up the Kingdom of God.
Parent volunteers are welcomed and appreciated as they enrich the daily experiences of our students. Our Catholic School Council will continue to take an active role in the daily lives of our students. Please consider getting involved!
With God as our guide, I look forward to supporting the students, parents, staff and parish of the St. Joachim Catholic Elementary School community.
Wishing you a successful school year.
Yours in Catholic education,
Mrs. N. Ciapanna
